Overview

Are you ready to be at the heart of aviation operations? Calspan’s Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Niagara Falls International Airport is looking for a Line Technician who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where every task supports flight readiness and customer satisfaction.

 

As a Line Technician, you’ll be a vital part of the ground crew, performing a wide range of services to support aircraft, pilots, and passengers. From marshalling and towing aircraft to fueling, deicing, and providing shuttle services—you’ll help ensure every flight starts and ends smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of various aircraft servicing (fuel, de-ice, tow) procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations and all company policies, including (but not limited to) maintaining the secure area of the airport, FBO and terminal areas.
  • Coordinate with customer service to ensure all customer needs are met in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Load and unload passengers, crews, baggage, and cargo as needed.
  • Ability to effectively present and communicate information with customers, clients or other employees within the organization.
  • Ability to safely drive all types of servicing vehicles from gas trucks, belt loaders, forklifts and other service vehicles.
  • Successfully complete all training as deemed appropriate by Line Managers and/or General Manager.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 1+ years experience in a related discipline or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and managers
  • Reading, writing, math and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Availability to work weekends, weekdays, overtime and holidays as needed to maintain coverage for 24/7 FBO operation
  • Physical requirements: vision, hearing, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, carrying, walking, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending

The salary range provided is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and other applicable qualifications.  Calspan is committed to pay transparency in compliance with applicable state and local laws.
